John Vogel, from Cape Town, South Africa, was originally an architect and crossed over into furniture design, creating beautiful pieces reflective of the nature that surrounds him, from the people to the animals of South Africa. Also inspired by traditional South African techniques such as riempie, a leather weaving process used to created strongly webbed seats by the Cape Dutch furniture-makers, Vogel has been able to translate his inspiration into quality-made furniture for the home.
